Hi Everyone,
A quick post today. I was going through some photographs and came across the card I had made for a friend after the birth of her son. It is completely different from my usual style as it is completely made with die cuts – no stamping at all (although I did ink up the sky). I love it. I sometimes find myself buying die cuts with the idea of using them on scrapbook layouts or cards but they just sit there. This card is inspiring me to get them out and USE them! If you are like me, I hope this card inspires you to use your die cuts too!
Here’s the card…
The card was created using papers and die cuts from the Little One Collection by KaiserCraft! I really loved this line!
Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you have a great day!
Happy Stamping!

I had this mini epiphany the other day… I was sorting some die-cuts I found in my stash, thinking about the best way to use them, when it hit me that those die-cuts are really no different from the stamped images I color and fussy-cut. I mean, other than the fact that I can make multiples and choose my own colors, the pre-made diecuts can be used in the exact same way. So, I pulled out a bunch and I plan on making cards with them.
In fact, I was just looking over a card I fawned over and realized how she could have gotten that same result if she had used an ephemera pack with die-cuts and stickers. Now I’m super excited to see what I can make with some stickers, too. I got some adorable Doodlebug ones that match paper pads (which is awesome).
I love using die cuts, and have been known to use all die cuts on a card much like you did. Sorry I didn’t get to commenting sooner. Have been migraining, and it doesn’t look like there’s an end in sight…. This is such a cute baby card. I love the elephants with their googly eyes and all those fun papers you’ve used here. Do make sure you check out Darnell’s blog this week. She’s got a NBUS challenge, and with your die cuts, it just might be the thing for you! Have a great week my friend, and hope your health is good. Giant gentle hugs. xoxo
Oh big hugs to you! I hate hearing those awful migraines won’t leave you alone. 🙁 Wish there was something which could be done! I love that you actually use your die cuts. Your cards always inspire me as you have such a broad range of styles. Big hugs!
Kylie….I think there must be lots of us out there that have a stash of unused die cuts or cricut cartridges that go forgotten or put aside. You inspired me to sit and do just that today…use some “older stash”. As always, love your creations. You are fun to follow.
Oh Mandy, how sweet you are! Thank you! I’m glad you were inspired by my post! Would love to see what you’ve created!
