Hi Everyone,
I’ll keep this a short post today but I really wanted to touch base and wish you all a very happy and safe Easter! I hope you are surrounded by your loved ones today.
I’ve two cars to share and I’ll get straight into it. The first has been made using my Silhouette Cameo. I was supposed to share it yesterday but I forgot. Oops! Anyway, there are sooooooo many gorgeous designs available in the Silhouette store and I seem to spend more time collecting the different shapes rather than using them. I am going to try to reverse that process. I just ADORE how you can create different alphabets too. You can customise any card or scrapbook layout – so versatile.
Here’s the card…
For card two, I used the Happy Easter Holiday set from Close to My Heart which is such a darling set and with the eggception (ooh, I just had to do that, sorry. lol) of two of the images which are specifically Easter, the rest can be used at any time of the year. I have a couple more designs under way which aren’t Easter related. Hopefully they will see the light of day…one day. lol I’ve tried to go for a more simple design here and I quite like how it turned out.
Oh, I did have one weird thing happen with this set and I wonder if it has happened to any of you. I was removing the stamp from the protective film and it TORE IN HALF! ARGH! I treat my stamps with the utmost care and I was sitting here in complete disbelief. I still cannot believe it!
Anyway, here’s card two…
Well, for a short post, that was a little long. lol Hope you all have the most amazing Easter! Hope the Easter bunny has paid, or will pay, you a visit!
Happy Stamping!

HAPPY EASTER, sweet Kylie – although I suspect I’m late…gahhh…need to remember the time changes! Both your cards are eggs-ceptionally eggs-cellent (couldn’t resist either *grin*). Your bunnies are both adorable, nestled in their sweet scenes, toting their carrot-and-egg treats. Of course, my eye also landed on the wee butterfly, that has me swooning! Fabulous and awesome, yet again, my friend! As for the stamp cratering on you: ouch!! I agree with Elle about contacting the company to see if you can get a replacement.
I sent a long, babbly note your way (apologies for the rambling!). Hugs to you – many hugs!! ~c
Thank you, C! 🙂 You’re never too late. It just extends the event. 🙂 lol I am glad you didn’t resist. There is the opportunity to use the pun so go for it!! haha So glad you like my card and I appreciate your kind words, as always. Now I need to go see what you have been up to!! 🙂 hugs, hugs hugs! 🙂
Loving both cards! The first one looks like it has so much texture! It’s amazing. And the bunny, of course, is absolutely adorable. Cutting out the letters sounds so useful! I’ve got a few word dies that I use with my Bigshot, but I bet it would be so useful to be able to spell out whatever you want.
The second card is so very cute! I love the bunny, and I love your coloring. The watercolor in the sky is so subtle, but charming. And that grass edge is fantastic!
I did have one stamp stretch too much once and crack in one corner when I was taking it off the sheet, and I was being super careful too. It was just a cheap stamp, thankfully, so I got it replaced. But maybe there was some kind of manufacturing issue with your stamp. It seems so strange it would split in half like that. Definitely try contacting the stamp company and let them know.
Thanks Elle! It really does – lots of cardstock. Was fun to put together. I don’t use my silhouette anywhere enough as I have to drag it out but every time I do I think…I really must use it more. It’s so useful.
It’s frustrating when that happens, isn’t it? I hadn’t noticed any flaws but then I rarely check them before I use them. I’ll have to contact the manufacturer, I think. 🙂
