Hi Everyone,
Hope you are enjoying your weekend! It’s a three day weekend here – Monday is the Queen’s Birthday Public holiday – and it is great to think there is another day up my sleeve to do a few things….or nothing at all.
It seems to be birthday season at the moment. A number of my friends birthdays fall over this coming week so I have pushed the ‘thank you’ cards to the side in favour of birthday cards.
I’ve pulled out two older Penny Black stamps to use and, unfortunately it would seem they have both been discontinued. I didn’t mean to make two cards but I enjoyed colouring the image so much that I kept going. I have stamped up another card blank so it is possible there might be another one on the way. Watch this space! lol
Card One:
I used pinks for this card to tie in with the pretty pink tails, cheeks and feet. I added the ric rac to the bottom of the card to ground the typewriter. It actually matches the paper very well.
Card Two:
I had aged the paper a little more than I had originally planned so decided to go for a different look. As soon as I saw this Basic Grey paper I knew it would be perfect. To me, it looks like the typewriter is sitting on a table against a very pretty wall. I think I prefer this card but I do still like the other.
Update: Just finished another one. I’m loving the background paper from Basic Grey – it’s just beautiful! Think I might need to get another pad…
Thanks for stopping by! Hope you have a great day! I’m off to create some more birthday cards!
Happy Stamping!
