Hi Everyone,
Tomorrow my eldest nephew, Riley, becomes a teenager! Could one of you please tell me where those years have gone? I’m sure it was just yesterday that he was born! He’s such a great young man and I am super proud of him. He has the biggest, brightest smile which lights up his face, and any room. We’re having a family dinner for him tomorrow and I realised I hadn’t made his card! Oops! I have been thinking about it for weeks but hadn’t actually sat down to do it. I was toying with the idea of using lots of numbers and highlighting the 13. Another idea was to make a real bloke-y type card but I wasn’t sure how. In the end, I have gone with a simple design with bright and happy colours. It’s not quite how I wanted it to be but …he’s a 13 year old boy and he won’t really mind. lol
Hope you are all having a bright and happy day!
Happy Stamping!

Oh, your bird has me smiling (actually I had a laugh burst when I saw it!). How amazing, bright, cheery and ‘perfect for a 13 year old boy’ this is! He’ll love it, in his ‘new to teen-hood’ fashion! Your love for your nephew, and Bev’s for her grandson, is ever so heart-warming! I wonder if they read your blogs to realize how you treasure those special men in your lives? My husband is, of course, special man #1 (most of the time!), but following close on his heels is my little nephew, who will be 16 months old on July 12. As I’ve shared before, I ‘celebrate’ my niece and nephew’s “Happy *xx* Months Old” birth-days (the 3rd and 12th) – so I need to get cracking with figuring out what to do for July. My niece will be turning 40 months old! Time flies waaaaaayyyy too fast! Thanks again, Kylie, for a day-brightening card! Enjoy the birthday celebrations!

You had the same reaction as my niece, C! lol I do love those Paper Smooches stamps; they are always so happy and fun.
Family is so important, isn’t it! I think it is wonderful you celebrate the milestones the way you do. I have no idea where that time goes though. Just have to enjoy it.
Thanks for your sweet comments again today, C!
Too sweet! Riley will love the card, but I’m guessing that if there’s a gift card or cash tucked inside, he’ll love that even more. Lol!! It’s a very happy, partyish card. Bright and fun. Love the balloon dp, and your ‘happy birdie’. Today is my favorite “big” grandson’s birthday. Christopher turns 23!!! I know all about how fast that darn time flies. He’s wonderful; the kind of young man you’d love for your daughters/nieces to bring home. I’ll stop gushing about him now…but I could go on for days! Your card is great. Shoot me a long email one of these days. Tell me all about your favorite things! Have a great evening?/morning?…well, day, anyway! Bev
The children are very good at humouring their Auntie Kylie! 🙂 He liked his card and was most appreciative of the gift tucked inside. 🙂
Happy Birthday to your Christopher! I hope had a fantastic day. (You don’t happen to have a single 40 year old grandson tucked away over there, do you? 😉 lol)
I’ll send you an email tonight….Australian time! lol
