I hope you’ve been having a happy Sunday. I have had a wonderful day as I attended an all-day scrapbook crop. It wasn’t the most productive day I have ever had but it was a really fun one. I made two cards as I just wasn’t in a scrapbooking mood…..and I might have been too busy talking and laughing.
The first card is absolutely nothing like what was in my head because I stamped the images in the wrong spot and when I tried to fix it I chopped off too much cardstock. Gave me an excuse to use the Creative Memories paper I had just purchased and that us always a good thing. I’m not loving this card but it is okay (and it does look better in real life! The colours just don’t look right in this photo.). I still want to try and create what is in my head as I think it will be very sweet. I also didn’t have the right twine so ended up using red and white bakers twine which I coloured with a black copic marker. Oh, and isn’t that turtle adorable? Such a cute image!
Let’s Shell-Ebrate
Materials used: Stamps – Hullabaloo, Party Posse (Paper Smooches); Cardstock – American Crafts, Knights; Designer Paper – Creative Memories; Bakers Twine – doodlebug design inc; Copic Markers; Distress Markers and Cuttlebug Embossing Folder -Provo Craft.
The second card was made because I am still loving the bear and the deer stamps from Paper Smooches and I really did like the card I made yesterday. I was also dying to play with the camp fire stamp too. I used the “Miss You” sentiment and on the inside I will add “wish you were here”.
