Hi Everyone,
Today I have a bit of a long post as I got a little carried away colouring the Gorjuss stamp set New Heights. I totally love this stamp set and it is SO fun to colour! I am also super excited and scared to share with you my first card making process video and hope you will enjoy it! I really salute people in our industry who make such polished videos as they aren’t easy! I don’t think it is *too* bad for a first effort. I hope you enjoy it! 🙂
Here’s the video…
Here’s the card…
I decided the above card was nice but I wanted to make it more like my usual style. I was also really enjoying colouring this image. Anyway, next thing you know I have four more cards using this same stamp set. I was so happy with the finished cards.
For this first card, I decided to add the cute little butterfly stamp which comes in the set. I also tried to do the hair a little differently. TIP: If you don’t have the right colour cardstock, use your copic markers to colour white cardstock to the correct shade. I didn’t have the right shade of brown but my copic markers came to the rescue (and for those who watched the video, yes, it is E71. lol).
Here it is…
For the next card, I decided to cut out the image and layer it on patterned paper. (And woohoo me, I actually used the paper I shared in my haul video!) I *love* this paper. I also finally used the Thanks stamp set from Simon Says Stamp.
Here’s the card…
The next card design came about because I accidentally splattered some ink on the design. I have found ink sometimes pools slightly on the edge of the lid of the copic markers. I usually give them a little clean with an alcohol wipe when this happens. Unfortunately, I missed this lid (yes, the E71 again) and it splattered on my work as I was colouring. At first I tried using the blender pen to remove the colour but it was unsuccessful. I decided to embrace the splatter and added more of my own.
Here’s the card…
The last card was a hybrid of the other cards. I loved the punched sentiment and the patterned paper but didn’t want to cut out the entire image. I think it turned out super cute.
Here’s the card…
I love how you can use the same image and make such different cards, even if they are coloured in a very similar way.
If you actually managed to stick with me through to the end, thank you! 🙂 If you watched the video all the way through, I thank you for that too. 🙂
Hope you have an amazing day!
Happy Stamping!

Loved the video! I have SO much more appreciation of your work and talent now I’ve seen all the steps 🙂 Keep up the great work! x
Thank you so much! 🙂 Means a lot coming from you. xx
How fantastic is this video!!! I’ve watched it twice now, and enjoyed it both times. I agree with Carol that you have such a sweet and pleasant voice, it’s so lovely to hear. And, as always, the cards are top-notch! The last one is my favorite.
*hugs!* Keep creating, You are so fabulous at it! 🙂
You watched it twice, Elle?! Wow! Thank you! I so appreciate you watching once let alone twice. 🙂 Thank you for the compliment. So very much appreciated. Might try it again. 🙂 hugs!
Oh my goodness, Kylie…your video is absolutely awesome! Thank you for talking us through every step (rather than playing music *grin*) and explaining the what’s and why’s of your process. So engaging, illuminating and entertaining. I agree with Bev: your encouragement sparks incentive to try the techniques and your voice is just so incredibly warm and inviting! Who wouldn’t want to ‘craft along’ with you! Applauding and cheering! I think you’re a natural teacher, my friend. As for your cards: stunning, beautiful, lovely! In awe! Keep the videos coming, because I’ll definitely be in the audience!
Hugs and love,

Oh, Carol, thank you so much too! You’ve made me grin from ear to ear. It’s tough putting yourself out there. You know I probably would have used music if I could have worked out how to do it.haha Thank you sooo very much! 🙂 hugs!!
Bravo! Bravo! Bravo! From beginning to end, this was a great video. Not only the fantastic coloring, but the words of wisdom and encouragement to try your techniques, as well as the lovely sound of your voice made this a great video. Rest assured, I will watch all the videos you make, and will let others know about this too. Great cards, btw. Those images are darling, but you’ve made them even more so. Congratulations my friend. I’m thrilled for you and so proud of you. Well done. Standing ovation!! Big hugs!
Aww, thank you, dear friend! You’ve made me blush. Was so scared about posting it. I know I’ve got a way to go but you have to start somewhere. 🙂 Thank you!!! 🙂
