When I started my blog, one of the very first people to comment was a very lovely lady named Bev. Bev has been ever so encouraging, thoughtful and sweet and has introduced me to new people, blogs and challenges. I feel very blessed that our paths have crossed. I was so excited when she emailed me today to share the news that she had become a grandma to Miss Avery. Exciting news!! Congratulations, Bev!
To celebrate, I have dug out a card which I confess I have had for a while but which I have always loved. I am going to make you a brand new card, Bev, but I wanted to celebrate with you now!
Welcome to the world, Avery! You’re a very lucky young lady to have such a wonderful Grandma!

Awwww…your little kitty with the diaper and the safety pin is cute beyond words! I know (even before reading Bev’s comment) that you’d touch her heart with this wonderful, thoughtful, heart-warming ‘Welcome to the World, Miss Avery” card. I’m laughing at Bev’s description of “chubby kitten” and “chubby Avery” – how sweet is that. Kylie, while you’re delighted that Bev made a connection with you when you first embarked on this blogging venture, I’m ecstatically delighted that, through her, I found you! Your words that speak of Bev’s sweetness, encouragement and loveliness reflect back to you! I’ve said it before, but it bears repeating: you are a gem; one who certainly knows how much a simple comment or a friendly ‘ribbing’ can brighten a day. You’ve brightened ever so mine, many of Bev’s and now…Miss Avery’s!! Thank you for sharing ‘you’ with us! Can’t wait to see the ‘new’ baby card you’ll be making! Oh Sweetie! Thank you so much for your kind words and wonderful “Avery” wishes. I’m nearly headed out the door, and will be happy dancing for the next couple of hours in the car on my way to meet Miss Avery in person! This is a beautiful card. I can see full well why you love it so much. A sweet chubby little kitten, and a sweet chubby little Avery. You are an incredible card maker in your own right. Period.
